/voice — Voice Input

/voice command lets you give voice instructions to Claude Code. You can take your hands off the keyboard and describe tasks in natural language, which is especially convenient for code review explanations or conveying complex requirements.

Usage

/voice

After running the command, the microphone activates and voice input begins. When you finish speaking, it's automatically converted to text and sent as input to Claude Code.

Use Cases

• When long explanations are needed: "Add validation to this controller, check email format and limit name character count..."

• Hands-free work: Give instructions while looking at another screen

• Brainstorming ideas: Verbally convey design direction and request implementation

• Code review: Give verbal correction instructions while looking at the screen
